Our Approach...

Wellness Works is fronted by Dr Graham Matthews whose proactive health approach focuses on the causes of illness as well as how to prevent illness occurring in the first place. This differs from most western healthcare which is based on trying to make a person better once they become ill by treating their symptoms.

Dr Graham Matthews is a doctor of chiropractic whose extensive training includes neurology, orthopaedics, pathology, radiology, kinesiology, functional biochemistry and nutritional medicine along with many other Wellness subjects he has studied. Graham is also a qualified lecturer with particular expertise in stress and health management, human and sports sciences, leadership and teambuilding skills, and mental health. He has practised abroad, worked in industry, and is a sports coach and veteran international ironman triathlete who puts into practice what he teaches.

This depth of knowledge and unique combination of qualifications mean that Graham is ideally placed to bring up-to-date and relevant health education and wellness coaching to your business.

What is Wellness?
"Wellness is an active state of health and happiness. It involves the constant, conscious pursuit of living life at an optimum level of health and balance - physically, mentally and psychologically." Dr Graham Matthews

Guiding you through the Wellness process

We realise that to some, ‘Wellness’ may be an unfamiliar term and the idea of introducing a Wellness Programme to your staff isn’t always given top priority. Well, it needn’t be complicated and, in fact, it can be very straightforward to introduce simple measures that can make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of your staff, with lasting benefits for your business.

We will guide you through the Wellness process by offering:

  • Consultation – identifying the needs of your business and recommending relevant Wellness activities
  • Design – carefully tailoring a Wellness Programme appropriate to your business and budget
  • Delivery – implementing our Wellness Services so that they become an integral part of your business culture
  • Evaluation – providing continued assessment and flexibility by adjusting programmes as necessary
  • Coaching – regular and consistent Wellness education and motivation
  • Support – offering continued guidance for individuals and your business as a whole

“We are down-to-earth, we don’t talk jargon (well, not much), and because we totally believe in the concept of Wellness, we are fully committed to helping you understand how crucial it is to health and happiness and to the success of your business.”
Suzy Pope, Wellness Works Business Director
